The Numis Network And The FTC – Is This Company Legit?

If you’re reading this, you may have been on the brink of joining ‘The Numis Network’ and you just wanted to do some last minute research to make sure that this is a solid, long term company and that it is in full compliance with local, state, and Federal regulations.

It’s ok, and natural to want to research a company to make sure you’re headed in the right direction, especially in the Network Marketing industry, where so many companies start up all the time that ARE NOT legitimate in one way or another.

(That being said – this is an awesome industry). Here are the main points to make sure that a company is in compliance with the FTC:

1. There is an actual product being sold, that consumers would pay for ANYWAYS even if there wasn’t a business involved. The ‘even if there wasn’t a business involved’ is key if you’re talking to Attorney Generals or looking at FTC regulations. The benefit of the Numis Network is that the Numismatics industry is a $100 billion market niche even if Numis didn’t exist. One of the founding partners at Numis, Mike Mezack – PERSONALLY does $100 million in sales annually for this exact product, at this exact price through the Home Shopping Network, and is well known and respected.

2. The company can’t pay commissions for people joining – commissions have to come from the legitimate sale of products and services. Now, that being said, it’s ok to make money when someone joins IF they buy a legitimate product when they do, and the commission is based off of that – not enroller fees. (Sometimes people don’t make that important distinction). In the Numis Network, all of the up-front money is created from the sale of a legitimate product called a ‘Fast Track Collectors Kit’, which retails at a price of $325. The Fast Track Collectors Kit is included in the Executive Package that most Numis reps purchase when they enroll.

3. Distributors can’t be making ‘income promises’. What I mean by that is you can’t use the income that you’ve generated to give incentive for people to enroll. This has more to do with the outside sales force than it does with Corporate – but Numis is very clear in their regulations that Distributors can’t make income claims to prospects. (You’re allowed to do it after someone enrolls, just not as incentive to join.)

4. The FTC doesn’t allow ‘Front End Loading’. Front End Loading was a term coined (no pun intended) from the practice of forcing new reps to purchase unwarranted inventory when they joined. There actually has to be an option to join with no additional product purchase (which Numis has) – but ‘unwarranted purchases’ would be excessive product that you wouldn’t be able to use or sell with normal business activities. The Numis Network top package is only $495, and fits well within all federal, local, and state regulations.

I think it’s important to note that Chris Kent, Jake Kavorkian, and Ian Cordell (The Numis Network’s Founders) have all been well known and respected in this industry for more than 60 years combined, and have personally helped more than 450 companies get started and be in compliance with FTC regulations. The Numis Network definitely is a legitimate opportunity, providing real value to the end consumer.

Hands down, the best marketing strategy out here on the Internet is(drum roll please!)LEARNING HOW TO MARKET. In my personal opinion you can take just about any marketing strategy that exists and parley it into a successful marketing campaign, but unless you know how to market effectively then all of your efforts will fall flat. 97% of marketers are failing because they haven’t taken the first step necessary to succeed…adopting a training system that brands them and gives them the step-by-step blueprints to building a successful marketing career.

It is easy to sign-up with a successful company and start promoting it to everyone you come in contact with, but you will have to do some self-branding and value-providing in order to really capture people’s attention. I have tried this both ways and can tell you that without a doubt, not learning how to market correctly will stop you business in it’s tracks.

Don’t be fooled by systems that cost little to nothing, but in turn brands the owner or founder of the system. If your brand is not on the capture pages, or whatever you are using to get leads, then you will be overlooked, trust me. You can become semi-successful like that, but ultimate success comes from positioning YOU as the leader and YOU as the person people want to sign-up and learn from.

The first thing that you want to do is step back and look at yourself and how you have been marketing you business thus far. You do not want to keep marketing in a way of using trickery and emails that do not deliver on its promises. You always want to lead with value and show other struggling marketers out here that you can help them and that you have a solution to their problems.

Email Marketing: Expand Your Business

If you are in the business of internet network marketing, then you probably know that success or failure is determined by how responsive your customers are. As with any other business, there are things that you can do to ensure that your email marketing business is not one of the ones that fail. Here is a list of questions that you can ask yourself before sending out a batch of emails.

One of the most common mistakes used by online marketers is that they setup fake email boxes that they send from. Do not fall into this trap. Use a real email address because you want an email address that people can respond to and get a real response from a real person.

Sell your product. Tell the customer what you are selling. Do not leave your customer hanging and trying to guess what you are trying to provide for them. If they have to do the work to figure out what your point is, they probably will not. As a marketer, it is your job to do the work for them.

Do not fluff your email. Even if you were able to tell your customer what you were selling in the first sentence, do not ramble on about it. Keep your email short, sweet, and to the point. Provide them with the facts and if they are hungry for more, they will come to you. Do not turn them away before that.

Did you spell check? If you write like a foreigner or a small child, the customers will not take you seriously. Take a few minutes to proofread what you have written and make sure that all grammar and spelling is correct. Also make sure it flows smoothly. Some spam filters will delete messages with excessive spelling errors.

ARE THERE TOO MANY CAPITAL LETTERS? Occasional capital letters are alright, but not the whole message. Not even a majority of the message. Keep capital letters usage to a minimum. Only use them for key words or phrases that you want to emphasize. Almost all spam filters will block messages with excessive capital letters.

Give your customers a time limit to respond. Some popular choices are the first 50 customers to apply or the offer expires in a certain time or on a certain date will entice customers to respond by letting them know that failure to reply in a timely manner will mean that they lose out on something.

Send a test message to yourself using various email accounts before sending out the final product. Make sure that everything is in order, all links work, and the messages is formatted properly. Also keep in mind that not everyone can receive emails in HTML, so be sure to incorporate a text version of your marketing campaign in the email.

Let customers unsubscribe. An unfortunate part of marketing is that not everyone wants your product. So do not keep bothering them with repetitive emails. Give them a way out with an unsubscribe link in the email.
